Terms & Conditions

The general terms governing your use of this website and the services we provide. Last updated 1 January 2026.

1. Acceptance

By using this website or instructing Nautica Shipping Line ("Nautica") to provide any service, you agree to be bound by these terms, our Privacy Policy, our Bill of Lading terms and our ethics & compliance policy.

2. Services

Nautica provides logistics services including, without limitation, NVOCC, feeder services, chartering and freight forwarding. Each engagement is subject to a separate booking, contract of carriage, bill of lading and/or the FIATA standard trading conditions, as applicable.

3. Quotations

  • Quotations are valid for the period stated on the quotation or, if none, for 14 days.
  • Rates are subject to space, equipment and surcharge availability at the time of booking.
  • All quotations are subject to these terms unless explicitly varied in writing by Nautica.

4. Customer obligations

  • Provide accurate cargo, dangerous goods and customs information.
  • Ensure cargo is properly packed, marked and labelled.
  • Hold all necessary export, import and sanctions-clearance permissions.
  • Pay invoices in accordance with agreed payment terms.

5. Liability

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, our liability is governed and limited by the applicable transport convention (Hague-Visby, Hamburg or Rotterdam Rules as the case may be), the relevant bill of lading and/or FIATA standard trading conditions. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages.

6. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond reasonable control, including port congestion, strikes, weather, geopolitical events, sanctions and acts of authority.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without prejudice to mandatory jurisdictional rules under the applicable transport convention.
