Nautica Shipping Line
Legal • Ethics & Compliance

Our standards of conduct.

Anti-money-laundering, sanctions, anti-bribery and the principles we hold ourselves and our partners to. Last updated 1 January 2026.

1. Our commitment

Nautica Shipping Line conducts business honestly, transparently and in full compliance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates and every jurisdiction in which we operate or that our cargo transits. We expect the same from our customers, agents, suppliers, employees and contractors.

2. Anti-Money Laundering (AML)

  • We perform Know-Your-Customer (KYC) and Know-Your-Counterparty checks before establishing a business relationship.
  • We screen counterparties, vessels and beneficial owners against sanctions lists (UN, OFAC, EU, UK, UAE) and update those checks throughout the relationship.
  • We monitor transactions for indicators of money laundering and report suspicious activity to the relevant UAE authorities as required by federal AML/CFT law.
  • We do not accept cash payments above the thresholds permitted by law, and we do not facilitate payment routings designed to obscure ownership.

3. Sanctions and trade controls

We do not transport cargo to or from sanctioned destinations, on behalf of sanctioned parties, or in support of activities prohibited by applicable sanctions regimes. We reserve the right to refuse, hold or return any cargo where compliance concerns arise.

4. Anti-bribery and corruption

  • We do not offer, give, request or accept bribes, kickbacks or improper payments in any form.
  • Hospitality and gifts must be reasonable, transparent and never offered to influence a decision.
  • Facilitation payments are prohibited.
  • Concerns can be raised confidentially through our reporting channel below.

5. Conflicts of interest

Employees and contractors must disclose any personal interest that could conflict with the interests of Nautica or our customers, and must remove themselves from decisions where such a conflict exists.

6. Human rights and labour

We respect internationally recognised human rights and labour standards. We do not tolerate forced or child labour, human trafficking or unsafe working conditions anywhere in our supply chain.

7. Environment

We pursue continuous improvement in fuel efficiency, emissions, waste and packaging across our feeder and chartering operations, and we choose partners who share that commitment.

8. Raising concerns

Anyone — employee, customer, partner or member of the public — who believes this policy has been breached can write confidentially to compliance@nautica-shipping.com. We do not tolerate retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith.
